Simcheong’s Journey – Cuckoo Clock
This 3D design project reinterprets the Korean folktale Simcheongjeon as a conceptual cuckoo clock. Each element of the clock represents a key moment from Simcheong’s story, blending traditional Korean architecture, ornaments, and patterns with symbolic storytelling. The house structure is inspired by hanok design, the lotus symbolizes rebirth, and the cuckoo reflects time and fate. Through this work, I aimed to merge cultural heritage with modern craftsmanship, transforming a folktale into a living object that tells time and emotion together.
